Terms and Conditions

Last updated: 7/1/2026

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the use of pet care services (“Services”)

provided by Violet Pet Care (“we,” “us,” “our”) to the client (“you,” “your,” “Client”). By

booking or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Scope of Services

Violet Pet Care provides non-medical pet care services, which may include (as

applicable to your booking): dog walking, pet sitting, feeding, exercise, playtime, basic

grooming (brushing, shaving), and administration of routine, pre-measured medication

as instructed by the Client (see Section 3).

2. No Medical Treatment

Violet Pet Care is not a veterinary service and does not provide medical treatment,

diagnosis, or veterinary care of any kind. Specifically:

Our staff are not licensed veterinarians or veterinary technicians.

We do not diagnose, treat, or provide medical advice regarding any pet’s health

condition. We do not perform medical procedures, including but not limited to injections

(except pre-filled insulin pens or similar devices explicitly authorized in writing by

the Client and prescribed by a veterinarian), wound treatment, or emergency

medical intervention. In the event of illness, injury, or a suspected medical emergency, our sole

responsibility is to make reasonable efforts to contact the Client and/or transport the

pet to the nearest available veterinary clinic or emergency animal hospital at the

Client’s expense. The Client is solely responsible for ensuring their pet is up to date on vaccinations, in

good health, and fit to receive the Services booked.

3. Routine Medication Administration

If the Client requests that we administer routine medication (e.g., oral tablets, topical

treatments) as directed by a veterinarian, we will do so only:

With clear written instructions provided by the Client;

Using medication supplied by the Client in its original, labeled packaging; and

On the understanding that Violet Pet Care assumes no liability for adverse reactions,

missed doses due to pet non-cooperation, or outcomes related to the medication

itself. This does not constitute medical treatment and does not create a veterinary-client

relationship.

4. Emergencies

In a medical emergency, Violet Pet Care will attempt to contact the Client and any

emergency contacts and/or the Client’s designated veterinarian. If we cannot reach you

promptly, we may authorize emergency veterinary care at a licensed facility at our

discretion, with all costs to be borne by the Client. Violet Pet Care is not liable for the

outcome of any emergency veterinary treatment.

5. Client Responsibilities

The Client agrees to: Disclose any known health conditions, behavioral issues, allergies, or special needs

of the pet prior to service; Provide accurate emergency contact and veterinarian information;

Ensure the pet is current on required vaccinations;

Provide adequate food, medication, equipment, and supplies for the duration of

care.

6. Liability

Violet Pet Care is fully insured. We will exercise reasonable care in providing the

Services. However, we are not liable for:

Pre-existing medical conditions or illnesses not disclosed by the Client;

Injury, illness, or death arising from conditions outside our reasonable control;

Any consequence of the Client’s failure to disclose relevant health or behavioral

information. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

7. Cancellations and Payment

Cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled service are non-refundable.

Cancellations made more than 48 hours in advance will be eligible for a refund or

rescheduling, at the Client’s option.
